Paper Weaving
Paper weaving is a simple and inexpensive way to teach your little ones the basics of weaving. Weaving helps kids with fine motor skills, patterning, and hand eye coordination!
Choose two colours of paper. Take one paper and fold it in half the long way. Cut across the paper from the folded edge to almost, but not completely, the open edge, leaving about a finger’s width of paper connected at the bottom of the cut. Continue doing this all the way up the folded side!
Open the paper to reveal the connected strips. With the other sheet of paper, cut out some individual strips! Weave those strips over and under each of the connected strips on the other sheet of paper.
