Gymnastics FAQ
Does my child require special clothing for gymnastics classes?
Your child can dress in comfortable clothing (t-shirts, shorts, etc.) for classes – nothing special is required.
Does my child require special footwear for gymnastics classes?
Children will be barefoot in the gym. If your child prefers not to go barefoot, or is unable to for health reasons, socks with grips are required.
In the event of inclement weather, will classes be cancelled?
Classes may be canceled in the event of poor road conditions or other hazardous weather circumstances.
If classes are cancelled due to inclement weather, we will personally call each gymnastics participant, send a notification email and also update our Facebook page (to receive updates on Facebook, please “like” Go-Go Gymnastics). We will try our best to ensure this information is posted by 3pm on Fridays, and 730am on Saturdays and Sundays.
Are snacks and water bottles permitted?
If you plan to bring a snack for after your child’s class please make sure it is NUT-FREE. Although water fountains are available on-site, children are encouraged to bring their own water bottle.
Do I need to stay in the gym while my child is participating in class?
Parents are not permitted onto the gymnastics floor (other than Tumble Tot parents) due to safety reasons, but are welcome (but not required) to stay within our parent viewing area.
Am I allowed to take photos in the gym?
Parents are permitted to take photos in the gym but please always ask the Gym Coordinator for admittance to our gym floor.
What if my child misses a class?
Go-Go is proud to maintain a low instructor to child ration. If your child misses a class and other classes are not full, we would gladly accommodate the request. If other classes are full, we will still try to provide a make-up class and will notify you should a family advise that their child will not be attending.
Can I have more than one Tumble Tot with one parent on the floor?
For safety reasons, and to ensure that your little one is getting the absolute most from our specially designed classes, we do require one parent per child in our Tumble Tot classes.
How early should I arrive for classes?
We pride ourselves with our punctuality, and classes will always begin and end right on time. If you wish to arrive early, we ask that you arrive no earlier than 10 minutes prior to your child’s class start time.
What if my child has never done gymnastics before?
No problem! We have specially designed lesson plans tailored for each child’s skill level. Whether they are new to the sport of gymnastics, or seasoned and want a recreational advancing experience, our coaches are equipped to teach all skill levels.
What are the class sizes?
We are proud to offer low child to coach ratio, with a goal of class size of 8 children per 1 coach.
Do many boys sign up for gymnastics?
Yes! Each class is different, but our overall registration ratio is about 50/50 for boys and girls.
Do you offer financial assistance?

Can I drop my child off early?
Due to rental agreements with our partners, Go-Go does not offer early drop off options. We ask that program participants be dropped off no earlier than five minutes before the start of camp.
What is the pick-up time?
Due to rental agreements with our partners, Go-Go does not offer late pick up options. We ask that program participants are picked up at the specified pick up time in your confirmation email.
You will be given an update of your child’s day each day at pick up and the coordinator will sign your child out.
If another parent, relative, etc. is picking your child up from our program, notice is required beforehand by a written note, call to our office or in person to the coordinator on-site. The individual picking up your child is required to present photo ID at the time of pickup.
Child Guidance Policy
To maintain a secure and safe environment that is welcoming to all, Go-Go Gymnastics employs a three-tier discipline policy;
In the first instance, the child will receive a verbal warning. In the second instance, the child will be asked to sit out for the remainder of their station and explained the importance of using our “listening ears” while in the gym to ensure no one gets hurt. In the third instance, parents will be called and asked to pick the child up. Parents are required to be on site to pick-up their child immediately.
If child guidance continues to be an issue, the child may be asked to withdraw from the program without refund.
