In-Gym Birthday – Party Frequently Asked Questions
Where are your parties held?
Our in-gym birthday parties are held in Fredericton, Rothesay, and Saint John from September to December and March to May. In most cases available on Saturday and Sunday afternoons (varies by location).
What kind of gymnastics do they do in the gym?
Our enthusiastic coaches will begin with a ten minute warm-up game and stretch. For the next 50 minutes, children will have the opportunity to visit all five stations in the gym (bars and rings, balance beams, tumbling floor and obstacle course, vaults, and bouncy castles). Although our focus is on “having fun”, the children are taught fundamental gymnastics skills that reflect their age and level of gymnastics experience. As well, children will have the opportunity to play with our 24 foot parachute for a special birthday surprise.
What do I bring?
We encourage parents to bring as much or as little as they wish. You are able to create your own after party celebrations by bringing food, snacks, cake, presents, decorations, games, etc. Please remember to bring any cutlery, plates, cups, napkins, etc. if having food at your after-party. Go-Go Gymnastics will provide tables and chairs, as well as tablecloths, garbage bags and Go-Go activity placemats. If you have booked the upgraded party (i.e. face painting), this activity will be done in the party area directly after gymnastics lessons.
Is there a fridge or freezer?
Due to gym rental being specific with regulations, we are not authorized to utilize any other parts of the facility under rental during our stay. Unfortunately there is no fridge or freezer access available.
Can I bring a piñata?
Due to school and gym regulations, piñatas are not permitted at our in-gym parties. We thank you for co-operating with this regulation.
What time should I arrive?
Go-Go Gymnastics books parties in succession, so please be advised that you will not have access to the gymnasium until your party’s start time. However, feel free to arrive 15 minutes early in order to bring in your party supplies and/or wait for guests to arrive. Please remember that we keep your guests fully entertained in the gym during your party’s first hour, allowing you lots of time to set-up and take pictures!
Do parents of party guests need to be present?
Our certified and experienced gymnastics coaches will keep the children fully entertained in the gymnasium, therefore, parent supervision is not required. However, you are welcome to have family and friends join you for the party area portion of your party. Please note that any children under four years of age must be accompanied by a parent if participating in the in-gym party.
Can siblings play on the equipment freely as the party happens?
Due to insurance regulations, no children other than the party guests may use our gymnastics equipment or inflatables at any time.
Can we use the gym for free play?
Our parties are designed to teach fundamental gymnastics, and in concordance, we have designed a structured schedule for all parties to follow. Therefore, children must always follow a trained Go-Go Instructor, listen for directions, and stay situated at the specified station.
When do you provide face painting?
If you have booked our Ultimate package, which includes face painting, after your guests enjoy an hour of fun-filled gymnastics, your party coach will accompany you to the party area for face painting. This will be done quietly, one child at a time, so that you may continue with your after-party activities.
How long can I use the party area? Can I exceed the hours?
Since our parties are scheduled in succession, it is very important that your celebrations are kept within their allotted time-slot. At the end of your hour in the party room, our staff will assist you with your clean up.
What is allowed inside of the gym?
We ask that all children remove their outdoor footwear before entering the gymnasium to participate in gymnastics. It is important that attending adults follow this rule as well; removing their outdoor footwear should they wish to enter the equipment area. Food and drinks are prohibited in the gymnastics area and must be kept solely in the party area. Cameras and video cameras are very welcome!
Am I allowed to bring candles for the birthday cake?
You may bring candles to put on top of the birthday cake, unfortunately however, due to fire and safety regulations, we are prohibited from lighting candles in the party area or in the gymnasium.
How early should I book the party?
We encourage you to book as early in advance as possible, as Go-Go Gymnastics birthday parties are very popular, and therefore, spaces fill up quickly!
Due to the high demand of our birthday parties, payment is required upfront, in full. We accept cash, VISA/MasterCard over the phone at 1-877-977-4646, and Email Money Transfer to email@example.com for payment.
