Go-Go After School is an innovative after school program servicing children in grades K-5. Founded in 2010, the Go-Go After School program became the third division of Go-Go Group Inc., a multidimensional organization which also includes recreational gymnastics programs (Go-Go Gymnastics), engaging preschool programs (Go-Go Preschool), and special event entertainment services (Go-Go Events) for children.
Go-Go After School was a result of a partnership goal between four elementary schools in Anglophone West to increase the quality of after school programming at the elementary level. To date, we have grown to 13 programs in New Brunswick!
In addition to ensuring the children in our program have access to a quality, safe and dynamic after school environment, our program aims to provide a space for children to discover their love for experiential learning through hands-on participation, mentorship and leadership.
The Go-Go After-School program focuses on five main principles: leadership, entrepreneurship, science, arts & culture, and physical activity. We partner with such organizations as Junior Achievement, the SPCA, Covey’s 7 Highly Effective Habits for Kids Organization, Heart & Stroke Foundation, among others.
Go-Go After School is proud to offer a fun and educational after school program for your child. Through Go-Go’s unique learning environment, your child will experience:
Our program is largely focused on engaging and fun physical activity. Go-Go After School uses highly trained team members, specially designed physical activities, and circuit fitness programs. We focus on both fine and gross motor skills, balance, strength, and team play in order to offer an exciting and engaging physical education experience!
- Minimum of 30 minutes of physical activity daily
- Group and individual based activities
- Special visits from Go-Go Gymnastics, and more!
Go-Go After School aims to provide a space for children to discover their love for entrepreneurship, focusing on engaging activities in partnership with Junior Achievement. Your little leader will develop their “business plan” throughout the year, and learn how to execute a successful company. They will move through their business plan, strategy, producing, and finally selling their items on site.
- Activities based on the worldwide entrepreneurial group Junior Achievement
- Product plans created entirely by students, with all profits going to a local non-profit
- Fun and creative activities, designed to develop team building and self-starting skills
Our leadership component helps children develop personal leadership skills by introducing interactive and highly stimulating activities developed around Stephen Covey’s “The 7 Habits of Happy Kids.” Our goal is to introduce students to the basics of these habits, and incorporate their principles into fun and collaborative activities. We encourage children to notice their leadership habits in real settings, which filter into every day home and school life!
- Program inspired by Stephen Covey’s “7 Habits of Happy Kids”
- A focus on clubs and teams
- Hands-on guidance on leadership, and much more!
